St. Margarets Road

To transform this period property in to one that has a large clean and modern ground floor living space with contemporary and spacious first floor bathroom.
This professional couple wanted a house that would be a welcome space to come home to, with impact on arrival and deliver the perfect environment to relax and entertain in.
Our scheme re-modelled the entire ground floor, extending at both the side and rear of the property. Wrapping zinc cladding from the front of the house, forming the fascia and parapet, to the rear to create a zinc canopy over large glass doors the scheme seamlessly flows from start to finish.
Using every inch of available space, the wedge shape extension creates a wide contemporary open-plan kitchen, dining and living area at the rear of the property. Natural light floods in through strategically placed roof lights and use of a professional lighting designer ensures maximum impact at nightfall. The first floor bathroom was remodelled and made larger through vaulted ceiling and imaginative use of space.
Planning approval was achieved on first application with praise on the scheme’s sympathetic nature to the period of the building.
