Crib-Y-Lan Housing Development

BMAD was commissioned to redesign an existing approved housing scheme to resubmit for planning approval to the local council. The house types where also redesigned to improve the floor plan and general appearance of the properties.
The Site was a difficult site and the developer required assistance with overall co-ordination, detailed design and production information.
The use of Timber frame technology was suggested for the main superstructure with hand cut stone front façade with rendered block work to the side and rear elevations.
The project has recently completed and all 8 houses are now under offer.

“On this project we needed an Architect that was strong at detailed design and could be proactive to change due to the complexities of the site. BMAD gave us that and improved the viability of the scheme through considered sensible design. BMAD are easy to talk to but strong enough to make good suggestions when needed, spelling out the reasons behind decisions.”
